BharatPe names Nalin Negi as CEO —

BharatPe has named Nalin Negi as the new CEO of the company. Negi has been serving in this role on interim basis since January 2023 after Suhail Sameer exited the company.

Before being elevated as the CEO, Negi worked with the fintech major as chief financial officer. He joined the company in August 2022.

With over 28 years of experience in the fintech and banking sector under his belt, Negi joined BharatPe from SBI Cards where he spent five years as CFO. Negi also worked with GE Capital Services India as controller and Exl Services.

In FY23 BharatPe, recorded 182% increase in revenue from Rs 321 Cr in FY22 to Rs 904 Cr in FY23 from operations.  The company also made significant progress in reducing loss before tax, plunging from Rs. 5,594 Cr to Rs 886 Cr. Additionally, the EBITDA loss also decreased by approximately Rs 158 Cr, showcasing focused efforts towards financial sustainability.
