Bharti Airtel appoints Ambareesh Mandelia as M&A and business development head —

Bharti Airtel has announced the appointment of a new head – M&A and Business Development of the company. They have named Ambareesh Mandelia the new M&A and business development head, effective May 1.

“Under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 (‘SEBI Listing Regulations’), we wish to inform you that Mr. Ambareesh Mandelia Ambareesh Mandelia has been appointed as Head – M&A and Business Development of the Company w.e.f. May 01, 2024,” Bharti Airtel said in an exchange filing.

Mandelia is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He brings with him more than 20 years of rich experience in Investment Banking, Mergers & Acquisition, Strategy, and Corporate Development. 

In his last assignment, he was heading the corporate health and wellness BU at Tata 1mg along with Corporate Strategy. He has also managed multiple portfolios as part of Tata Sons Chairman’s Office and has worked in the investment banking teams of various multinational Banks such as Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, Nomura/Lehman Brothers in his career.
