In a challenging business climate, investing in employees can be the determining factor in whether companies will find business success, according to one expert.

“In order to thrive, businesses must also prioritize investing in their employees. When you invest in your employees’ growth and development, it sets the business up for long-term success,” Chelsey Eitel, human resources business partner at Axis Communications, says in a video presented by Axis.

While, for many employers, investing in employers can be an afterthought, “it’s just as important and beneficial” as focusing on the financial planning side of the business, she says. And the alternative will be detrimental to the business.
