I’m in my dream role, rolling all the best bits of my career to date into the one place. Pipedrive has a strong people-first culture; it’s a global business with a proven track record and a compelling business model. We have a forward-thinking executive team, a supportive board and are backed by a people-focused private investor.

Chief HR officer merchant services, Nets

    October 2018 – March 2022

I was able to bring all of my experience to date to this transformation to reshape the business, build a strong results-driven culture and deliver growth. Living in Denmark was also a wonderful experience.

Chief of staff to CIO and deputy chief HR officer, Worldpay

    December 2016 – September 2018

I moved into a business role and loved it. I was responsible for running the office of the CIO and transforming the technology and engineering organisation. I also held the role of deputy CHRO which enabled me to continue to shape the people strategy.

Organisation capability director and HR director, Worldpay

    May 2011 – December 2016

Worldpay provided me with multiple learning and growth opportunities as we together took the company from private to IPO and merger with another payment giant. In this role I took responsibility for talent acquisition, talent development, L&D and internal communications, before moving back into a HR partner role.

    October 2008 – May 2011

Having only worked as a director in a start-up before, Burger King gave me the opportunity to work in a large-scale, global corporate. I partnered with centres of excellence; tailored solutions to local markets; managed stakeholders and mastered a new regulatory and compliance environment.

    April 2007 – October 2008

This was my first real leadership role sitting on an executive team, leading the HR agenda and taking responsibility for the full value chain. It was a steep learning curve on the HR side but also my first exposure to digital, technology and agile transformation.

    HR business partner, Red Bull

    November 2002 – April 2007

Red Bull was my first real work experience, and I learned the true impact of blending your customer and employee experience together to drive your brand from the inside out.

    Top three career tips

    1. Take a role as an HR leader for a private equity portfolio company. You’ll learn so much.

    2. Take care of people and not just business Combining the two can make you unbeatable.

    3. Actively seek a role outside of HR to gain more breadth, even if it’s just for a few years. You won’t regret it.
